Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig September 21 1983) is an American actress best recognized for her performances as Shannon Rutherford on the ABC television series Lost as well as Kim Mills in the Taken trilogy. Originally from Worthington Ohio, she dropped out of high school and moved into Los Angeles with her mother when her parents separated. In 2001, despite her difficulties with money it was possible to secure her first big role in the online video show Rachel's Room in the role of Rachel's Room's main character. The actress was able to secure an Young Artist Award nomination in 2002, for her role as the 15 year old murder victim Martha Moxley in the television film Murder in Greenwich. Grace was dropped from the series in 2005 to focus on the role of a greater part in films, having appeared in the film Taken alongside Tom Welling as Kim Mills in Taken. In 2007, she was in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club as well as, alongside Liam Neeson's Kim Mills as Kim Mills in Taken. She reprised her role in Taken 2 (2011) and Taken 3 (2013).She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland, a modern version from Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace returned to her role as Shannon in Lost in the series, which included the conclusion. The year was 2013, and she was a guest in the sixth season of Californication. The role she plays is Faith as a girl who is a muse for the stars, and draws the eye from Hank Moody (David Duchovny). Gyllenhaal is a part of the family, and is the older sister of Jake Gyllenhaal. The career of her mother began when she was a teenager when she appeared in small role in films made from her father. Also, she worked alongside her brother in the 2001 cult film Donnie Darko. Her next roles were in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind which was released in 2002 as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was praised by critics in both of her roles as the main character of Secretary (2002) which is an erotic romance drama drama as well as Sherrybaby (2006). She was also nominated for The Golden Globe Award. She gained wider recognition when she portrayed Rachel Dawes, a superhero in The Dark Knight (2008) as well as a number of successful commercials she appeared in in the year 2006. In 2009, she was recognized for the award of Best Supporting Actress at the Academy Awards for her portrayal of a single mom in Crazy Heart. For this movie, she received the Best Screenplay Award at the Venice International Film Festival and nominated for an Academy Award.
