Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a family with a strong musical background. When she was a kid, she listened to many classical music and traditional boleros. She also listened to traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana has a passion for Tangos, opera, and any form of dramatic performance. She began singing and learning music with her mother, she began her more intensive vocal training when she was 16 with renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. At the School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico furthered her education in music. As a student and young professional, she sang with various chamber groups as well as opera choruses in Guadalajara and Mexico City. After relocating into California in United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before shifting to her home in the southern part of California. She performs solo Latin American music for private events and also as part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. as a music teacher and musician Ana is a dedicated participant in various community-based projects because of her passion and love for music. Ana was also previously a member of Community Chorus of Redlands as in addition to members of the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana hopes, through her sharing of Latin American traditional songs, to bring about a desire, specifically for the young generation, for keeping this music in the present.
