MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music has been able to make significant progress to Latin pop. In 2017, his 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. In 2017, he released ADN, his first long-player with La Industria Inc. in Medellin. The album climbed to number 8 in the Top Latin Albums Chart. Vaina Loca was one of the Top Five hit for Ozuna and him the year after. Mala Influencia is his collaborative effort with Noriel in 2020. The following year, Dopamina was his follow-up album. In 2021, he appeared as a duo with TINI on her most streamed song Maldita Foto. An album release in 2023 with the massively popular La Bachata. Turizo was raised in the musical home of his family. Both his elder brother and mom are each musicians. In interviews, he has stated that music was a necessity. In his childhood he was taught to play guitar, the piano as well as the ukulele. In spite of initially wanting to work as a vet, Julian convinced him that having lessons from a Cuban singer would alter the direction of his profession.
