Rosalia

Rosalia Vila is an Spanish flamenco singer and pop artist. When she was a teenager she was involved with traditional as well as popular music. But, her singing interests have broadened to encompass soul and hip-hop. Guitarist from Flamenco Pepe habichuela characterized her voice as delicate and sharp, however she still with the bite of older singers. El Mal Querer gained her notoriety and commercial success after her first album Los Angeles was released in the year 2017. This album won it the Latin Grammy Award for Best New Artist. La Fama was released by the Weeknd in 2021. Her third long-player Motomami featured songwriting collaborations with many artists and producers including Cory Henry and James Blake. The set was released following Saturday Night Live's performance of Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia was the first Spanish artist to perform solo in the program. Motomami the album by Rosalia that has won the three Latin Grammy Awards also made her the first female to have the Latin Album of the Year be awarded twice.
